No need to explain much about Sanur…
I guess this place has been infamous for decades, or even more, so I don’t think I can explain enough about this place, for there are lots more people know this place far better than I do. For you that have never been in Bali before, well, I can explain a little bit about this place… 🙂
Sanur is a handy place for a new arrival. Airport taxis might charge around IDR100,000 to Sanur and the journey is around 20-25 minutes For people choosing Sanur over Kuta or Nusa Dua, nowadays most of them would be the elders and the families, the advantage is a less intense atmosphere than Kuta or Nusa Dua… It is quieter than Kuta, but of course there are still bars and restaurants opened in the evening for those who want to enjoy night life in Sanur. In fact, I myself have few favorite dining places here in Sanur where I feel both the atmosphere and the food are recommendable…
In Sanur, the beach is divided into sections. Partly because of the shoreline is part of the area of the hotels built along the shoreline of Sanur. But don’t worry, there are also sections that are still open for public, such as at Sindhu, Semawang, Batujimbar and North Sanur…
I had never got the chance to take pictures in Sanur before (well, thanks to lazy me, since I spent 4 years in my span of life in Bali before). And when I had the chance to have a short getaway after my brother’s wedding in Banyuwangi, I had it in my plan already that this time I had to do it. I had to go to Sanur, do some photo-shoot over there, especially the sunrise and morning scenes…
It turned out that I went there at the wrong season, I guess. During my 3 days getaway, it had been cloudy all the time, especially during morning and sunset times. Well, hopefully a better luck next time. But I managed to get some shots, though…
